What are the other methods to treat anxiety when meditation and medication and fail?
I experience stiffnes, nawing guts, muscle pain, and continuous sense of anxiety. My blood pressure has become unstable and I have put on a lot of weight as I do not like to go outside. I have taken the medications, done exercise, tried meditation and yoga by nothing seems to help. What else can I do about it? Pls help..
Every one of us has felt anxious for something or the other during at some point in our lives. When it becomes a mental condition it leads to anxiety disorders. Although there are various herbs that will help you to get rid of mild anxiety symptoms only a few contain the adequate dosage to effectively treat severe cases of anxiety. This has been proven with well-designed clinical trials. They are safer than prescribed medication as they do not lead to dependence or addiction. The Ayurvedic herbs are Ginseng, Passion Flower, Chamomile
Fennel, Ashwagandha, Valerian, and L-theanine.
Ginseng – Add a teaspoon of royal jelly in a cup of ginseng tea and consume it twice daily to boost your energy levels.
Passion Flower –is effective for treating anxiety. Taking a combination of Valerian and Passion Flower extract is said to a better affect.
Chamomile – Boil an ounce of blossoms in a pint of water for 15 minutes, strain the leaves to extract the herbal content and consume it by adding honey.
Fennel – Helps to relax the abdominal tension, large intestine, and reduce related flatulence apart from relieving anxiety. It is advisable to consume this herb as teas before and after the meals.
Ashwagandha – is a strengthening tonic. You can either take ½ teaspoon tincture twice a day or one capsule twice a day.
Valerian – An extract with 0.8% valerenic acid can be taken in doses of few hundred milligrams three times a day. It is used for treating anxiety and can be safely consumed for short periods.
L-theanine – is an amino acid that has significant anti-anxiety effects. It is obtained from Green Tea. You must be sure that the herb contains 98-99% pure L-theanine before you consume the herb extract.
